The first phase of the pilot actions of the REINWASTE project is launched in Provence Alpes Côte d'Azur (France).
After a first meeting with the CPA (Center of Agricultural Plastics) and a contact with the team of ADIVALOR, the Regional Chamber of Agriculture PACA (CRAPACA) brought together the experts of the sector of production of sheep meat and cattle beginning July.
The purpose of the exchanges was to prepare the selection of the 15 farms in sheep and beef production and to specify the methodology to implement on this first phase of matchmaking.
Surveys will be conducted during the summer among farmers to understand how they manage inorganic waste. Depending on their involvement and motivation, 5 of them will be selected for further support.
If today there are few new types of plastics to test in livestock farms, significant progress can be made in the organization of work and sorting of plastics used. These solutions will be tested in real-life situations on selected farms. In parallel, work will be carried out with the organizations in charge of the collection of these inorganic wastes (ADIVALOR, Cooperatives, Traders). See you in October for the first results of pilot actions in PACA.
